Nathan and I have just returned from our honeymoon and so just wanted to write and say thank you so much for the amazing job you did with our wedding at the Lookout Lodge! The food/service was amazing and you were both great to work with!

All our guests raved about the food and I think we might have actually convinced a few Australian’s that blue cod is probably the best fish to eat!!!

Thanks for your never ending answers to all my questions and of course setting the venue up so amazingly!

Where do we begin? We could literally fill this whole page with praise for Max and Brent and the team at 63b. Planning a wedding from a thousands of miles away can be extremely daunting and stressful, but after our first meeting with Max and Brent we realized it wasn’t going to be that way for us. We were in great hands.

From the minute we started working with them they went above and beyond to help us put together our dream wedding. Throughout the year we spoke on the phone and emailed regularly as we bounced ideas back and forth and considered all our options. From the florist to the fireworks, the lighting and sound, they put us in touch with everyone. All we had to do was mention something and Brent would be on the phone trying to make it happen. They know everyone in town and everyone knows and loves them. It's very easy to see why.

We almost forgot that they were our caterers, as they felt more like our Wanaka family...then we started eating, oh boy! Ask anyone who knows us and you’ll quickly learn how important food is to us. We like to eat and we like to eat well, as do many of our friends and family. Once again, above and beyond!! Every single person who was at our wedding could not and still have not stopped raving about the food, ‘best wedding food ever!’. The mussels, the whitebait fritters, the duck, the pav….. I could go on. From the welcome bbq to the post-wedding brunch they blew everyone away with beautiful, fresh and delicious food. My mouth still waters just thinking about the venison over polenta. Yum!

Max and Brent, we can’t thank you enough for everything! We don’t know how we could have possibly done this without you both. Thank you for helping make the greatest day of our lives, great.

The guests simply raved about the food at the wedding. May I say that the calamari stole the day. Even the next day that was the dish that most people were talking about as the highlight. As you might have gathered there were a number of Australian based Europeans at the wedding who really love their Mediterranean food and they, as well as the NZ guests,  absolutely loved the food.

More than that they were saying how friendly and delightful the girls were. Liz was particularly helpful and from the minute I met her in the morning I knew I could relax. Brent the decor was exactly what we were hoping for, the lights were stunning. We were delighted and so grateful that Adrian Cross had recommended you to us. You handled the whole wedding completely professionally and we will be recommending 63B to anyone who is looking for catering in Central Otago.

We had the good fortune to select 63b as the caterers for our wedding this year and they exceeded our expectations in many ways.  They came to us well recommended however, we were still surprised with the quality and friendliness of their operation.

We always want our weddings to be perfect and in the end we rely on people like 63b to make this real.  What pleased us the most was: that so many people commented on the exquisite food, we personally appreciated the friendly and professional conduct of the crew - it reinforced the importance of engaging experienced caterers. 

This experience was particularly valuable to us in the planning stages where they gave us endless advice in adding special touches to our wedding.

From the booking to the day of our son’s wedding Maxine and Brent were fantastic. At our meeting with Maxine she was very helpful and had good suggestions regarding the menu. On the wedding day we knew that everything would be done to perfection. 90% of our guests were out-of-towners and they were amazed at 63B’s food. Brent, his serving and bar staff were very efficient and friendly. Maxine also has a very skilful team helping her. We would definitely use 63B again.

Last year when we opened the Wanaka office and had the bigger function of 200, you took all of the worry out of our hands and we were able to relax while the beautiful food that everyone enjoyed appeared from nowhere, and disappeared equally fast.  You knew how to time when you could slow down the supply and quietly cleaned up while no-one was aware.  We though you were great.

Last night for 60 people for just a one hour hosting, you took it equally seriously. You appeared right on time, food was available and then when I needed to get over to the Crystal Palace, you cleared up, food covered and in the fridge (staff are excited about morning tea today!)  and the staff tell me all they needed to do was to replace the chairs.  Thank you so very much once again for a superb service.

It is our pleasure to send these few words for Maxine and Brent - 63b catered for both our son and daughter's weddings, and we couldn't fault them. Our daughter Nicola had no hesitation in writing this for Maxine and Brent.

63b were the obvious choice to cater for our wedding as we had already experienced their fab food at my brother's wedding. Maxine and Brent then proceeded to exceed our expectations! Not only did Maxine take time to work through in detail different options that suited our style and theme, she also then kept in regular contact by email on how her creative juices were flowing and offered even more great ideas than what we had originally come up with On the day Maxine and Brent were incredibly organised and the food was amazing. They had a great team around them and catered our whole evening in a really professional manner. Many of our friends have also used 63b on my recommendation and not one of them has been disappointed. Good times had by all!

We employed 63B to cater for our wedding in Wanaka in February 2004. Being "out of towners" we also needed someone to help us pull the whole event together, and assist in our selection of a venue. Maxine was amazing! She was always efficient and enthusiastic, and we quickly felt at ease handing over to her the large responsibility of organising important wedding details.

On the day the canapes that 63B served were divine, and the reception dinner was a sumptuous feast that few of our guests will forget- all whipped up in the 63B truck in a paddock next to our venue! They even made our wedding cake- a chocoholics delight!

63B went to a great effort to ensure that our wedding day went smoothly and was a memorable and festive occasion for both us and our guests. We do not hesitate to recommend them.

Since our recent school reunion our committee has had many messages of congratulations and all have heaped praise on the catering provided by 63B. One such message noted – “Over the years I have attended many large conferences across a few different countries. Seldom have they been run with such efficiency – particularly the catering, it was first class.”

Our reunion was held in a marquee at the local showgrounds and under these conditions 63B managed to supply, efficiently and with no fuss, a supper and a buffet lunch, each for 450 people, followed by a gala buffet dinner for 650.

The variety, quantity and, above all, the quality of the food provided was of the highest possible standard surpassing all our expectations. Our thanks to Brent and Maxine for a job well done.

Although Daniel has already thanked you very much in person for all your efforts on our wedding day, I want to follow up with sincere thanks of my own. I didn't get much of the food...I could barely swallow let alone sample everything dished up!...but the feedback I heard from everyone was that it was outstanding. I could at least observe all the guests relishing their meals! The setup in the marquee was brilliant too.

By all accounts our guests had an excellent time on the day, and your contribution towards that was tremendous. We will vigorously recommend 63B at every opportunity in the future!

I also want to thank you for working with Suzanne. I know most vendors prefer to work directly with a client and this makes perfect sense...I would too. Also, I expect you and the other Wanaka vendors already have good working relationships and processes without the need for a coordinator. I therefore appreciate your working for us through her. Having Suzanne be our point of contact allowed us to concentrate solely on spending time with family and friends in the lead-up to the wedding, which was so important to us.
